Lima, February 28, 2024.- Yape, Peru’s super app with more than 14 million users, presents Yape Empresa, a version solely for businesses that allows them, within the same application, to improve client collection and supplier payment experiences. This new service, which is equipped with a complete value proposition, aims to facilitate day-to-day management of businesses.

«One of the main benefits that companies can add to profiles of “Assistants” so that designated employees can verify- from through their own Yape account- that the business’s clients have made the yapeo corresponding to each sale. This way, the company’s owner doesn’t have to leave their cell phone in the office or spend time verifying payments with screenshots, said Rufino Arribas, Yape Leader.

Arribas remarked that “Assistants” can only see the registry of sales payments that day. They cannot manage the account, see the balance, or change configurations. This always guarantees the confidentiality and security of the business’s income.   

Another benefit of this exclusive version for companies is that, after meeting requirements, users can link a Yape Business account to payments with YapePOS, a solution that converts a cellular phone into a POS to accept payments with credit and debit cards and provides a personalized service channel through WhatsApp.

«Businesses that have Yape Empresa will have a higher limit for yapeos and service payments of up to S/3,000 a day in each case. Additionally, users will soon be able to link with the Yapelink function to make collections easy«, added Arribas.

It is important to note that the Yape Empresa service will charge a fee of 2.95% on daily sales received through QR or cellular phone numbers; this daily fee is below the market average. During the launch period, businesses will be able to use the app for free for one month if they affiliate before April 30, 2024.  

Last December, Yape informed all users that starting on April 1st, the maximum amount to receive yapeos will be 5 UIT (S/25,750) a month. This limit, which is well above the average of what yaperos receive every month, will only apply to direct yapeos through a cellular phone number or QR code. This limit will not apply to social organizations, which use Yape as their main channel to collect donations.  

“Businesses that top S/25,000 in yapeos a month can use Yape Empresa as an option to continue receiving payments for sales. Users can unsubscribe whenever they like and can return to using the Yape they have always used,” concluded Rufino Arribas de Yape.
