Lima, May 22, 2024.- BCP, which is committed to promoting sustainable financing in the country, granted a green loan for US$100 million to the electric company Luz del Sur, to develop renewable energy infrastructure in the country.

The financing granted to Luz del Sur was used to fund its acquisition of the Marcona and Tres Hermanas wind projects located in Ica. “At BCP, we are committed to sustainable development and the transition to a greener economy. The financing we recently granted to Luz del Sur to acquire wind stations is proof of this commitment. We believe that investments in renewable energy constitute both an environmental need and a relevant economic decision.
