We invite young people to present ideas that boost citizen participation in Latin America 

  • More than 11,000 young people from Peru, Colombia, Chile, Bolivia, and Panama have submitted ideas to VOCES since 2022. Registration for this new edition will be open until July 23. 
  • Winners will receive funding of $15,000 dollars, mentoring of experts and access to the world’s largest youth summit, One Young World Summit. 
  • Gianfranco Ferrari, CEO of Credicorp, will chair the Evaluation Committee along with renowned leaders from the region. 

Lima, May 14, 2025. – Credicorp, major holding company financial of the Peru with operations In Colombia, Chile, Bolivia, and Panama, presented VOCES por la Participación Ciudadana, an initiative aimed at young people that, in its fourth edition, seeks to revive trust between citizens and key institutions for the region’s development. 

At a crucial moment for Latin America, young people are called to take the initiative and promote the development of our countries. Therefore, VOCES por la Participación Ciudadana, summons to youths between 18 and 32 years from Peru, Colombia, Chile, Bolivia, and Panama to find ideas that, through digitalization, strengthen a sense of community, motivate participation in decision-making, promote the transparent use of public resources, and generate access to clear and understandable information. Through this call, Credicorp seeks to decipher how young people can become more involved with institutions and communities. 

“Since we created VOCES, the response of the youths has been overwhelming: almost 6,500 ideas have been heard. This shows that young people know that their role in accelerating the changes our countries need is fundamental, and at Credicorp we want that impulse to continue. That’s why I invite you, with your talent and enthusiasm, to create ideas that launch concrete solutions for the full exercise of our faculties as citizens”, stated Gianfranco Ferrari, CEO of the Credicorp group. 

An impulse to the ideas of the youths of the region 

Since its creation in 2022, VOCES has received applications from more than 11,000 young people from participating countries whose ideas for change have been evaluated by the expert Evaluation Committee made up of Mariana Costa, founder of Laboratoria (Peru); David Gereda, director of development of One Young World (Colombia); Allison Silva, founder of the Emprender Futuro Foundation (Bolivia); Ariel Gringaus, CEO of Colegium (Chile); Nicole Lasso, coordinator of the Red Nacional de Rincones Clubhouse – PNUD (Panamá); and Gianfranco Ferrari, CEO of Credicorp. 

“VOCES recognizes the transformative power of young ideas in Latin America. From my experience, I have seen how, with creativity and innovation, the new generations are revolutionizing the manner in how to get closer to be better societies. I invite all young people in Peru to present their ideas, because, now more than ever, we need your input,” commented Mariana Costa, member of the VOCES Evaluation Committee. 

The three ideas that receive the highest jury rating and the most votes from the public will be the winners of VOCES por la Participación Ciudadana. Each initiative will receive a monetary prize of US$15,000 to support its development. In addition, a representative from each winning group will be able to attend the One Young World Summit 2026, the most important event for youths in the world to lead social change; and will have access to specialized mentoring. 

Young people living in Peru, Colombia, Chile, Bolivia or Panama, can apply. Individually or in groups, they must come up with an idea that contributes to inclusive and sustainable digital development, explaining the potential impact and reach it may have.

VOCES por la Participación Ciudadana will receive ideas from May 14th to the 23 of July on the website vocescredicorp.com
